Founded in 2020 in Haifa, CHORNITSA fuses the heavy guitar riffs of hard rock with the rich melodies of Ukrainian folk, built around a commanding female voice and intense, melodic guitar solos.

The name is a play on words: “chornitsa” is Ukrainian for “blueberry”, and it also hides the name of the band's singer: CHERnis + NIKA = CHERNIKA. At the heart of the band is the bond between deep, meaningful Ukrainian lyrics and the raw, unfiltered energy of their live shows. For six years CHORNITSA has kept a steady creative pace, releasing music regularly and playing stages across Europe, including Poland, France and Bulgaria.

Next up: more stages across Europe. Promoters, agents and labels, get in touch.
